Do I need a referral letter?
No, but your general practitioner will be notified unless you Mr Yelland not to.
Will I see the consultant surgeon throughout?
Yes. Mr Yelland will be with you from the initial outpatient consultation, the operation and the follow up period and is always happy to answer any questions you may have. No high pressure sales persons or nurse advisors are used.
Is Mr. Yelland an NHS consultant?
Yes. Mr Yelland is a consultant in the NHS working in Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals. In addition all anaesthetists working with Mr Yelland are also NHS consultants.
Where will my treatment take place?
All outpatient consultations and surgery take place at Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital / Haywards Heath or Spirehealthcare at Gatwick Park. All are fully registered with The Healthcare Commission. All three hospitals are of course fully registered with the Healthcare commission.
Will pressure be put on me to have surgery at the initial consultation?
Definitely not. Your suitability will be discussed along with the expected results, risks and complications. If you are not suitable you will be told.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. Following your confidential consultation you will be given a fully inclusive price for surgery.

The confidential consultation provides the opportunity to meet your specialist surgeon who will take full details of your medical history and discuss your concerns. Your specialist surgeon will indicate and explain the most appropriate procedure, treatment and aftercare. The confidential consultation takes place in a relaxed atmosphere and provides you with the opportunity to be fully informed. Mr Yelland is happy to see cosmetic patients on a self-referral basis.
